Shift from Head to Heart

“Get in your head, you’re dead!” – Tony Robbins

Your heart is your primary guidance system and your brain is your secondary. Many spiritual traditions share about the importance of moving from head to heart, but in our fast-paced modern world, this is much easier said than done! The good news is that you don’t need to quit your day job, drop out of society and become a full-time yogi in order to live from a heart-centered place. Breathwork is the fastest way to get out of your head and drop down into your heart. This technique overrides the thinking part of your brain that won’t shut the f**k up – that little voice that rattles off to-do lists, tells you you’re not good enough, compares you to other people and lies to you on a daily basis! When you listen to your thoughts and believe them, it’s easy to get stuck in your head. But when you shut it off, you instantly feel connected to your greatest power source – your HEART. Your heart speaks quietly but it always speaks truth. It will reveal your true purpose and direct you towards lasting joy and fulfillment if you give it a chance. I will lead you through a breathwork session, followed by a heart-opening exercise that will help you drop down into your heart. During this session, you’ll let your heart speak and what it has to say may surprise you! Let’s get you out of your head and back into your heart, where you belong.

Description

The two most common statements after this class are…

“That felt like 20 years of therapy without saying a word!”

and

“That was the most profound experience I’ve ever had.”

Breathwork is a purely experiential thing that’s different for everybody and different every time you do it, so it’s impossible to describe but one thing is guaranteed and that is that you will feel completely different than how you felt when you started. Don’t take my word for it, do it, and find out for yourself…It’s undeniable.

Jon Paul will explain the technique and some of the things you may experience with humor and east coast straightforwardness. (No woo woo here)

After the Active Breathing (There’s a little bit of work in Breathwork) he’ll take you through a guided Heart Opening that will leave you FILLED with Gratitude and Love.

Breathwork is a powerful technique for exploration, discovery, healing, and personal growth. Working with the breath enables you to take better care of yourself and release beliefs and patterns that no longer serve you. Most people leave breathwork sessions feeling clearer, calmer, more content and relaxed. You’ll breathe to a curated playlist to enhance the experience and help you focus.

When we saturate our bodies with oxygen it helps clear negative emotions and traumas from our sympathetic nervous system, reduce stress, as well as a variety of other stored emotional experiences.

This Breathwork technique bi-passes the critic in our brain and talks directly to the body. Breathwork has the ability to help us reduce stress and open our up creativity. Currently, breathwork is being used on Veterans with PTSD and they are having great success in the reduction of symptoms.

After a few minutes of breathing, you may feel a tingly sensation of energy vibrating through your body, moving the stuck energy in your system. Many people report having profound experiences. Your experience will be unique to you and your path.

Breathwork is different for everyone and different every time you do it.
