Simply put, Breathwork saves lives. I once was suffering so much that I sought out any and every form of therapy until just one Breathwork session positively impacted my life. And it can improve your life, too. All you have to do is show up and do the work — the Breathwork.
Breathwork is indescribable because you will never have the same session twice. It is unique because you are unique. But you may experience:

CLASS FORMAT: After AJ explains a unique method of deep breathing, he will then guide the class on a life-changing, inner journey that ends in a powerful climax! AJ’s heartfelt coaching, energetic playlist and skilled use of gongs will keep the class focused but carefree. You will leave the class feeling “cracked open”, but in the best way possible — with an open heart and an open mind. Genuinely refreshed.
THE METHOD: Breathwork is an active breathing technique — the “work” part of Breath-work. But after you put in the light work, you will fully enjoy the fruits of your labor, feeling mentally, physically and emotionally balanced. Breathwork is also an art — the art of letting go of everything that no longer serves you and bringing in anything that will bring you more joy. AJ’s warm presence will be there to help you change your story.
PLEASE BRING: A yoga mat and/or blanket to create a comfortable space. An eye mask/eye pillow is recommended to deepen your relaxation, but will also be sold at the door. Dress comfortably (no tight jeans or belts) and in layers — you may get warm or cold during Breathwork. It is recommended to not eat a few hours before class.
WHEN: Mondays from 8:30 to 9:30 PM. Please arrive 15 to 30 minutes early to get checked in and settled. No late admittance.
WHERE: The Church in Ocean Park @ 235 Hill Street, Santa Monica, CA 90405.
COST: $20 via Eventbrite or Cash preferred at the door. Credit Cards and Venmo are also accepted at the door, but please bring Cash as a backup plan. All sales final. No refunds or exchanges. Tickets are limited to 100 attendees. Age is restricted to 18 years or older only unless permission is requested from AJ.
PARKING: On the street. So please give yourself extra time for travel to class, allowing for LA traffic and parking.
HEALTH CONSIDERATIONS: Breathwork can be intense — a physical and emotional release. Therefore, it is not advised for persons with a history of: cardiovascular disease, including angina or heart attack, high blood pressure, glaucoma, retinal detachment, osteoporosis, significant recent physical injuries or surgery.
Breathwork is not advised for persons with severe mental illness or seizure disorders or for persons using major medications. It is also unsuitable for anyone with a personal or family history of aneurysms. Pregnant women are advised against practicing Breathwork without first consulting and getting approval from their primary care physician. Persons with asthma should bring their inhaler and consult with their primary care physician and the Breathwork class facilitator, coach or guide.
ABOUT AJ: A warm heart, clear mind and wise soul, AJ will guide you to let go of all your fear and suffering. With his compassion as your compass, you will be lead to fall in love with yourself and your life all over again. After an award-winning career as a storyteller, AJ went on to get certified in Breathwork with Jon Paul Crimi and Sound Healing with Ana Netanel while studying timeless wisdom under Peter Maxwell Evans.
